Reaping the Personal Project Fruits

This Tuesday afternoon, 26th February, the BWYA secondary school celebrated the culmination of all of our Grade 10 students’ hard work on their personal projects (PP) at the Personal Project Exhibition. The IB Middle Years Programme focuses on ‘learning how to learn’ through the development of communication, collaboration, organization, self-management, research, and many many more skills, with the PP being a clear demonstration of all these skills coming together.

Every year, our students produce strong results, and this year was no exception. With displays about quadcopters, Chinese architecture, Korean grammar, computer hardware, music, different countries, ancient weaponry, to name but a few, it was truly an abundant array of our students’ creativity, and hard work.

With the event open to the wider BWYA community, there were also plenty of family members present, proudly viewing their own children’s work, as well as seeing what their friends have been doing.

Speaking to us during the event, Mr. Haggar, our PP co-ordinator shared, “I have loved this event, the personal project exhibition – it’s really satisfying to get to see and hear about what the students have been pouring effort into this semester, I’ve been really impressed today, and am feeling really good about our Grade 10’s performance!”
